We've written this three times trying to add both text and photos. The last time I saved the text as a draft, but it seems to have gone into cyberspace. I'll try one more time with the text but will resort to what I know and send the rest by E-mail.
We have now been in Arizona for 27+ years. Like all of you, our family has grown and had many experiences. It seems easiest to divide the info by family extensions; us, Carlsons, Begouns, MacKenzie-Leyendecker.
After 25 years, Jim retired from teaching in Banner Good Samaritan Family Medicine Residency program. Upon retirement, he completed the Master Gardener program at the University of Arizona. His knowledge and skills have been put to work volunteering, teaching and beautifying our yard. He maintains a small private practice and volunteers on hospital committees.
Jeanne's nursing career spanned 30 years and included OB/Gyn, med-surg, oncology, home health, medical malpractice and long term care. She retired from the State of AZ where she determined medical eligibility for long term care recipients and did case management. She is an active member of the American Sewing Guild. Her passions are "art to wear" and home dec., although she has also done upholstering, quilting, hand and machine embroidery, smocking, etc. After retiring, she established a company by the name of Golden Needle Art. Volunteering has been using these skills.
We have had the pleasure of travelling to many places, but the highlights are China/Tibet/Cambodia and most recently, northern India. These trips were through OAT(Overseas Adventure Travel) because we prefer action vacations.
The info about our children/grandchildren and photos, I'll attach to an E-mail so I don't go nuts before we get together!
